With over 15 years of experience as a business owner, Luis is also a certified project manager and a former professor of economics. His personal journey with plant-based nutrition transformed his health, empowering him to achieve his dream of running marathons and giving him peace of mind in reducing his risk of disease, particularly cancer, which runs in his family.
Inspired by his own experience, Luis is passionate about sharing the power of food and lifestyle to improve health and well-being. He finds fulfillment in supporting individuals who are seeking to make positive lifestyle changes to prevent and fight disease while investing in healthy aging.
To pursue his passion, Luis became a certified Health and Well-being Coach, helping individuals to find their own way to improve their lives. A licensed Food for Life instructor, equipping communities with plant-based nutrition and culinary knowledge in both English and Spanish. He also serves as a lifestyle mentor with Plant Powered Metro NY and volunteers with his running club, North Jersey Masters, where he helps beginners take their first steps into running. Currently, Luis is working toward a certification as a Running Coach, further expanding his ability to guide others on their journey to better health." Good nutrition, plant-based-lifestyles. Discover the power of nutrition in management of weight and prevention of illness and obesity. One item on the menu, Chickpea Salad with Orange/Grapefruit Miso Dressing. Fresh Herbs of Basil, green onions (scallons) and cherry tomatoes, fron the Garden will be picked and used. Recipes will be provided.(11:00-12:30pm)
