NEW DORMITORY CONSTRUCTION BEGINS!

New Dorm siteTrenches are dug and bricks delivered as Tashi Rabten and Architect Tom Scrimgeour arrived in Tibet last week to oversee construction of the dorm and implementation of the sustainable heating systems.

TIBETAN HOME Of HOPE AT ANDOVER ACADEMY  

Tashi Dolma & Tashi Rabten were invited to speak at Andover Academy by Mary Polk-Bauman and the Non Sibi Society, the club that raised funds for THOH from a school wide swim-a-thon this past Fall. Tashi Dolma spoke to a large group of students and teachers about her life experiences and how she and Tashi Rabten began THOH.

Thanks to both
ACA Galleries in NYC and the Tibetan Center in Kingston NY for their partnership in hosting fund raising events in early May. Those of you who joined us in Kingston enjoyed a wonderful dinner and talk with featured speaker, Robert Thurman, Ph.D. We extend a grateful round of applause for 

Tenzin Choegyal's continued and loyal support in sharing his musical talents on behalf of the children of Tibetan Home of Hope during both evenings.

Bonnie Ringer Presentation About  

Tibetan Home of Hope at Yoga Retreat

    Bonnie Ringer, a certified yoga therapist and long-time friend

and supporter of Tibetan Home of Hope, will be offering a 5-day yoga Immersion

at Kripalu (in the Berkshires of Western Massachussets)  

from Sunday to Friday, June 5-10, 2011. 

 

On Sunday evening, June 5th from 7:30-9 PM, she will present images from, and readings about Tibetan Home of Hope while also raising awareness of the  

orphanage and its children.
