This is a Hatha/Raja Yoga Course for beginners & ongoing seniors students. We do everything in this class as we would in all the other classes, with the chair in front, along side or behind you. Using the chair as needed for simple versions of twists, hip stretches, forward bends, and mild backbends. In addition to a good stretch, chair assist yoga participants can also enjoy other health benefits of yoga, including improved muscle tone, better breathing habits, reduction of stress, better sleep, and a sense of well-being.

Yoga is the greatest for building strength and increasing flexibility, it is slow-paced and low-impact, which is why it's a favorite among senior fitness activity. Seniors will benefit from yoga's emphasis on breathing techniques & relaxing meditative music. Class closes with deep healing meditation & wonderful deep guided visualization in yoga nidra.
